About Amy
Amy's path to counseling began through her own healing journey. After experiencing the transformative impact of therapy in her own life, she felt called to support others as they navigate life's challenges, losses, and transitions. Her experience receiving EMDR in 2019 inspired her to return to school and deepen her commitment to helping others find healing, meaning, and connection.
Yoga became a significant part of her healing process — helping her reconnect with her body and work through difficult experiences in ways that words alone could not. That experience sparked a lasting interest in the mind-body connection and ultimately led her to pursue training in somatic therapy.

Background & Approach
The Mind-Body Connection
Amy works with adolescents and adults who are navigating grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, and the challenges and complexities of being human. Whether facing a significant loss, a change in identity, a shift in relationships, or simply feeling stuck, Amy believes therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain perspective, and reconnect with what matters most.
Having taught yoga, meditation, and facilitated sound baths since 2009, Amy witnessed firsthand the powerful connection between emotional well-being and the body. Today, she integrates somatic approaches into her counseling work, helping clients explore how stress, grief, and life experiences shape both their emotional and physical worlds. By bringing awareness to the body's responses, clients can develop greater self-understanding, resilience, and capacity for change.
Clients often describe Amy as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. She believes healing happens through authentic connection, increased self-understanding, and creating space for people to reconnect with their own inner wisdom and capacity for growth.
