Background & Approach
Every Behavior Has a Story
In addition to her clinical work at Lotus Rose Counseling, Monique has spent more than a decade teaching and mentoring teenage girls facing significant life challenges. Working with young women experiencing depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, abuse, neglect, and homelessness has deepened her belief that every behavior has a story.
Their resilience continues to inspire her and has shaped her compassionate, curious, and nonjudgmental approach to therapy. These experiences ultimately led her to pursue counseling so she could help women and girls build confidence, heal from difficult experiences, and create lasting change.
Why This Work Is Personal
Growth Is Rarely Linear
Monique's passion for this work is also deeply personal. Her own experiences with divorce, single parenthood, remarriage, and blending a family have given her a firsthand understanding of life's unexpected challenges and transitions.
She knows that growth is rarely linear, and she believes people are capable of incredible healing and resilience. Monique is passionate about helping women recognize their worth, embrace their strengths, and intentionally create lives that align with their values and the people they want to become.
